This high-tech electric vehicle with only 1,500 miles on the odometer did not find a new owner on the Cars&Bids platform, highlighting a gap between the initial hype surrounding the model and market reality.

High Initial Investment and Rapid Depreciation

The specific car, painted in Ice Grey Metallic, was purchased for over $120,000 from a Porsche dealership in Edison, New Jersey. Despite the significant sum, often justified by the prestigious brand, bidding at the auction stopped at $88,500, failing to meet the seller’s undisclosed minimum price. Thus, the potential loss from the initial purchase could have exceeded $33,000.

Power and Optional Equipment

The Macan Turbo Electric offers serious performance thanks to its two electric motors, which together produce about 630 horsepower and over 1,100 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds while maintaining a range of approximately 300 miles. The first owner also invested in additional equipment, including 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, a head-up display, a Sport Chrono package, and a premium package with four-zone climate control.
