Electric Porsche Cayenne equipped with four displays and a minimum of buttons

New electric Porsche Cayenne: many screens, few buttons

Porsche is preparing to launch the electric version of the Cayenne, which will debut at the end of 2025. The new SUV will get four screens in the interior and a shared platform with the Macan Electric.

Technological interior

The upper level of the instrument panel contains three screens: a digital instrument cluster, a central display, and a screen above the glove box. They are all combined under one piece of glass, creating the impression of a single wide display. Below is a fourth screen for controlling the climate and seats.

There is a minimum of physical buttons in the interior – only four switches for temperature adjustment and a volume wheel

Technical features

The electric Cayenne is not just a reworked conventional SUV – it is built on an extended version of the PPE platform. The base variant will get a 402 hp engine, and the top Turbo version will exceed the performance of the Macan Turbo (630 hp).

Despite growing competition in the electric vehicle market, Porsche continues to develop its electric lineup. The Cayenne Electric will become an important player in the segment of premium electric SUVs, where models from Mercedes, BMW, and Audi are already present. A special emphasis on the number of screens may spark discussions about the balance between technological advancement and ease of use.
