Mosslr – the modern descendant of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss
The small company Engler, known for its powerful 1,200-horsepower quad bike, has unveiled the Mosslr concept – a modern interpretation of the legendary Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss. If the project comes to fruition, only 75 units of this exclusive speedster will be produced.
The design of the Mosslr is inspired by the original but looks even more exotic. The car features a large radiator grille, slim LED headlights, and massive air intakes. The body is adorned with smooth lines, wide wheel arches, and side-mounted exhaust pipes, reminiscent of the classic model.
Engler plans to release the Mosslr with two V8 engine options (740 and 986 hp) or a V12 with 838 hp. The base version will accelerate to 322 km/h, while the more powerful one will reach 349 km/h.
Technical features and price
The interior of the Mosslr, as promised by the developers, will be upholstered in premium leather. Although interior details have not yet been revealed, a minimalist yet luxurious design can be expected.
The starting price of the speedster will be €710,000, but after the release of the first units, it will increase to €790,000. The first prototype is expected to appear within 6–9 months, after which full-scale production will begin.
The Mosslr is not just a car but a true work of art that combines classic features with modern technology. Its limited production and high price make it a coveted item for collectors. The success of the project will depend on whether Engler can overcome technical challenges and meet the announced deadlines.
