The legendary Italian brand unveiled the new supercar, Daytona SP3, to the world. It is the third car in the Icona series (after the speedsters Monza SP1 and Monza SP2 shown in October 2018) and is made in honor of the 1967 “24 Hours of Daytona” marathon.

Recall that Enzo Ferrari’s cars outpaced all competitors, taking all (!) places on the podium. As for the design of the Ferrari Daytona SP3, it is done in the spirit of the sixties models 330 P4, 350 Can-Am, and 512 S.

Interestingly, the Italians promised to present the Daytona SP3 in 2022, but apparently “money is needed very much.” Anyway, the official debut of the novelty took place yesterday.

Under the hood of the new Daytona is a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 (from 812 Competizione), but it has been refined and therefore delivers 840 hp. And this means it is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in Ferrari’s history! The most powerful naturally aspirated engine is accompanied by a 7-speed dual-clutch robot.

Besides the outstanding engine, the Daytona SP3 boasts almost perfect aerodynamics, achieved not only by the shape of the body but also by the cleverly designed double diffuser (a nod from Formula 1 racing cars).

Clearly, the body is made of composite materials (and even the chassis), so the car weighs less than 1.5 tons. Weight, power, and aerodynamics allowed for achieving the corresponding dynamic characteristics – 2.8 seconds to 100 km/h and 7.4 seconds from 100 to 200 km/h.
The price? You can buy the Ferrari Daytona SP3 for 2 million euros (more precisely), but there is a nuance – there are already customers who have signed preliminary contracts even before the presentation. In general, you might not be in time. Joke. Or black humor.
