by The new Ferrari Purosangue was unveiled in Italy. The first SUV in the brand’s history impressed with its supercar-level characteristics.
The Ferrari Purosangue 2023 looks rather atypical for an SUV. It’s quite low, with a long hood and headlights in the spirit of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale supercar. The most interesting feature is the swing doors like those of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which lack window frames.
Inside, the unusual dashboard with separate displays for the driver and passenger catches the eye. There are four separate seats installed, and the trunk volume reaches 473 liters.
The SUV is based on the Ferrari Roma coupe platform. However, unlike it, the Purosangue is equipped with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine with 725 hp and 715 Nm. With an 8-speed automatic, acceleration to a hundred takes 3.3 seconds, and the top speed is 310 km/h. This is the most powerful and fastest SUV in the world.
The new Ferrari Purosangue received all-wheel drive, an all-wheel-steering chassis, and an active suspension with variable ground clearance.
The Ferrari SUV will not be as mass-produced as the Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga. To maintain exclusivity, production volumes will be limited to approximately 2000 cars per year. The cost is 400 thousand dollars.
