Ferrari kept the first 430 Scuderia for its own management, but now you can buy it

Unique Ferrari 430 Scuderia put up for sale

This Ferrari 430 Scuderia, created with the involvement of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, is a true gem in the history of mid-engine V8 supercars. Now, one of the most desirable examples has appeared on the market, which is likely to become one of the most expensive ever sold.

This particular 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia is not being auctioned but is sold privately through the company Aatelier M in Munich, Germany. The seller claims that this car, with chassis number 155217, is the first production example, predating even the car presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show.

History and Origin

According to the seller, Ferrari kept this 430 Scuderia for itself and assigned it exclusively for use by top management. Thus, the car was never used even for the press or media, which often happens with early examples of such models.

Unlike the expected Rosso Corsa red, the car is painted in Blu Scozia with silver racing stripes, yellow brake calipers, and large Scuderia emblems on the front fenders.

Condition and Features

Aatelier M notes that the origin of this 430 Scuderia has remained a mystery until now and emphasizes that after the car left Ferrari’s hands, it belonged exclusively to collectors. The car has a service history, and the odometer currently reads 23,000 km (approximately 14,300 miles), of which less than 4,000 km (2,500 miles) were driven in the last 15 years.

Not only the exterior is impressive, but also the interior. It is trimmed in stunning gray Alcantara surfaces, including the dashboard, side supports and headrests of the seats, pillars, and rear bulkhead.

Value and Rarity

Although the price is not disclosed, it can be said with confidence that this 430 Scuderia could become one of the most expensive ever sold, though it is unlikely to surpass the $1.65 million for which another example from Phil Bachman’s collection was sold earlier this year.

This car is not just a supercar but a true historical artifact. Its unique origin, first production number, and impeccable condition make it extremely valuable for collectors. Given that the Ferrari 430 Scuderia is already one of the most revered models of the brand, this example has every chance of setting a new price record, as the combination of a rare color, a history of exclusive use by company management, and minimal mileage makes it a true find even in the most discerning market.
