Floyd Mayweather Believes He Was Cheated After Buying a Maybach G650 for $1.2 Million

Scandalous Legal Battle Over Car Purchase

Former boxer Floyd Mayweather is known for his passion for luxury cars and lavish lifestyle. However, he now finds himself at the center of a lawsuit with a Las Vegas car dealership, where he claims he was deceived about the price of a rare Mercedes-Maybach.

Deal Details and Car Return

In early July, Mayweather agreed to buy a 2018 Mercedes-Maybach G650 for $1.2 million, a 2023 Ferrari F8 Spider for $480,000, a 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 for $285,000, and a 2025 McLaren Artura for $285,000. However, he quickly backed out of the deal, returning the Ferrari, Porsche, and McLaren. He also wanted to return the Mercedes-Maybach but, according to him, the Vegas Auto Gallery dealership refused to take it back.

Allegations of Deception

In the new lawsuit, Mayweather accuses the dealer of deceptive trade practices and providing false information. He claims that the G650 cost the dealership only $728,000, which would have left the business with almost half a million dollars in profit from a single sale. The boxer says he was told that the dealer paid $1.1 million for the car and he agreed to such a markup, but later found out the true price.

I think he took back three cars, but the one he didn’t want to take back was the 2018 Maybach Landaulet. He didn’t want to take it. So I instructed my team and business partners to check the car. It turned out that the car had been involved in legal proceedings, and some parts on it had been replaced. He charged me $1.2 million. He said he paid $1.1. I was okay with that. But then I did my homework. I conducted my own investigation and found out that he paid, if I’m not mistaken, only $728,000 for the car. So he cheated me out of over half a million dollars.

Dealership’s Position

Vegas Auto Gallery categorically rejected the accusations, calling the lawsuit “ridiculous and not viable”. The dealership insists that Mayweather signed a contract and actually owes the dealer the full cost of the G650. According to them, he missed the payment deadlines for the car and had previously acknowledged this debt.

This case raises important questions about transparency in luxury car market deals, where prices can vary significantly. The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet is an extremely rare car with a limited production run, which partly explains its high cost, but discrepancies in the information about the dealer’s initial purchase price raise serious doubts about the ethics of business conduct. Such disputes often lead to a review of customer information standards in the premium segment.
