Updates for the 2027 Ford Super Duty Model Year
Despite the year just beginning, Ford has already announced updates for its Super Duty heavy-duty pickup lineup for the 2027 model year. The manufacturer states that it has listened to owner feedback and is providing them with the features they demanded.
One of the main changes is the expanded availability of the Tremor Off-Road Package. It can now be ordered for all Super Duty models, including those already equipped with the STX Appearance Package. Key enhancements in the Tremor package include:
It is important to note that the Tremor package is now available even for the longest versions with a Crew Cab, a 176-inch wheelbase, and an 8-foot bed, along with the option of a 48-gallon fuel tank.
Enhanced Base Off-Road Version
The base XL Off-Road Package has also been updated. Initially introduced in 2023, it included 33-inch all-terrain tires, skid plates, and an electronic-locking differential. However, some owners desired even more ground clearance but without graphics or interior upgrades. In response, Ford introduced the new XL Off-Road 35-Inch Tire Package.
In addition to the larger 35-inch tires, this package offers:
- Increased ground clearance
- Limited-slip front differential
- Electronic-locking rear differential
- Performance shock suspension
- Trail Control, Rock Crawl Mode, and Trail Turn Assist
- Transfer case and fuel tank skid plates
For those who do not need 35-inch tires, the updated XL Off-Road 33-Inch Tire Package remains available.
Luxury for Commercial Chassis
Another significant news is that Ford now offers the Platinum-level interior for F-350, F-450, and F-550 Chassis Cab models. This allows owners who often use such vehicles for further upfitting (for example, into mobile homes, horse transporters, or heavy-duty tow trucks) to get a high-class cabin.
