Ford Recalls Vehicles Again to Avoid Repeating Dangerous Fire Situations

Ford Announces Two New Recalls

The Ford company continues its series of recalls in 2025. This time, the problems concern only six vehicles, but they are quite serious. Two of them are supercars GT that need a software update to prevent a fire. Another four are F-150 pickups, where problems with the trailer brakes were discovered.

In the case of the GT, the problem arose due to an incorrectly performed recall back in 2018. At that time, Ford released an update to reduce the pressure in the hydraulic lines of the rear wing to avoid fluid leaks and possible fires. However, two vehicles never received the necessary software.

Technicians uploaded incorrect software, which means they do not have the fix released under the previous recall.

Problems with the F-150

Four F-150 pickups also require a software update, but this time for the trailer brake controller. If the software is incorrect, the brakes may not work at all. Ford assures that all malfunctions will be fixed free of charge at dealership centers.

These two cases show how important it is to perform recalls correctly. Even a few vehicles with incorrect software can pose a serious safety threat. Ford seems to have intensified checks of the work performed, which allowed these problems to be detected before they led to accidents.
