New Special Version of Electric Crossover
Ford has introduced a special version of the Mustang Mach-E GT electric crossover called the California Special. This model continues the tradition of California special editions of the Mustang, which has been ongoing for many years. Orders for the car will start being accepted from October 22.
Exterior Design and Features
Externally, the car has received a number of distinctive features, among which:
Designer Stefan Taylor noted:
The graphics have sunset rays in layers of gray, black, and a blue accent that symbolizes the ocean.
Interior and Comfort
Updates have also touched the car’s interior. It features sport seats upholstered in Navy Pier ActiveX material, as well as Miko fabric. The blue color is present on the steering wheel and center console, where the “GT/CS” logo is placed. Additionally, the floor mats have blue and silver embroidery that harmoniously combines with the seat design.
Technical Specifications
The special version is built on the basis of the Mustang Mach-E GT, therefore it has:
- 91 kWh battery capacity;
- all-wheel drive with two motors;
- power of 480 hp and torque of 813 N·m.
This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and travel up to 280 miles on a single charge.
Price and Availability
The California Special package costs an additional $2,495, making the total price of the car start from $55,890 excluding additional delivery costs. Although the changes are not global, they emphasize the uniqueness of the model and its connection to the brand’s California heritage.
This model demonstrates how Ford integrates traditional design elements into modern electric vehicles, maintaining a connection with the past. The introduction of such special versions may help increase interest in electric vehicles among fans of classic models.
