Lewis Hamilton won the Turkish Grand Prix and prematurely secured the championship in 2020. This is the seventh title for the Briton, and in this aspect, he matched the legendary Michael Schumacher.
The race took place under rain and featured several crashes. Hamilton managed to break into the lead from the sixth starting position. However, an even greater progress was made by Sebastian Vettel – he started 11th and finished in third place.
For the British driver, this is already the 94th victory in Formula 1, and in this aspect, he also surpasses Schumacher (91 wins). As a result of the Turkish Grand Prix, the Mercedes driver scored 307 points and is already unattainable for his nearest pursuers Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen.
