by A new Genesis G80 has been presented in South Korea. The large premium sedan from Hyundai is already available in its home country, and it will appear in the rest of the world in the second half of this year. The model’s competitors are referred to as Lexus ES and Cadillac CT5, as well as the initial versions of Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series.
Design of Genesis G80 2020
The sedan features a very elegant design with a sloping roof and a pointed rear part. Like the related crossover Genesis GV80, it has a huge pentagonal grille and four thin LED headlights and taillights. The new Genesis G80 2020 reaches 4995 mm in length, 1925 mm in width, and 1465 mm in height with a wheelbase of 3010 mm.
Thanks to its aluminum body, it is 110 kg lighter than its predecessor.
Interior and Equipment of Genesis G80 2020
The interior features leather, wood, and aluminum. The instrument display is shown on a 12.3-inch screen and can be projected onto the windshield. There’s also a large 14.5-inch touchscreen. Instead of a gear lever – a round joystick.
The new Genesis G80 is more spacious than its predecessor and better equipped. In the “base” – 10 airbags, and for an additional fee, a three-zone climate control, ventilation of front and rear seats, parking autopilot with remote control, and a semi-autonomous driving system are offered.
Specifications of Genesis G80 2020
The big sedan is offered with new gasoline turbo engines of 2.5 L (304 hp) and 3.5 L (375 hp), as well as with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel of 210 hp.
All versions are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the drive can be rear or all-wheel.
