Japan is experiencing the impact of the most powerful typhoon in the last quarter-century. The disaster has already claimed 10 lives and left millions of families without electricity.
Typhoon Jebi was accompanied by heavy rains, which caused flooding and landslides. Surprisingly, there is also intense heat persisting in Japan.
The western part of Japan was the most affected by the typhoon. Numerous bridges were destroyed, and strong winds literally scattered cars and even threw ships ashore. Moreover, due to a short circuit, several hundred cars burned in a parking lot.
The main airport of the Kansai province is located on an artificial island, and thus it was flooded. Over 3000 passengers were unable to depart from Japan.
