First Photos of the New Kia EV4 GT
Spy photos have captured the new Kia EV4 GT Hatchback for the first time. This model is likely to appear on the market as early as next year and will receive an all-wheel-drive system with two motors. In addition to bright brake calipers, the car is expected to have sportier bumpers and an updated interior.
Although the official debut in the US is scheduled only for the beginning of next year, test prototypes have already been spotted in Europe. The EV4 GT is positioned as a competitor to the Volkswagen ID.3 GTX, combining dynamics and practicality. The prototype is well camouflaged, but details that distinguish it from the regular versions are already noticeable—for example, the bright yellow brake calipers, similar to those installed on the EV6 GT.
Technical Features
The standard version of the EV4 is built on the E-GMP platform and offers a choice between batteries with a capacity of 58.3 or 81.4 kWh. The front motor produces 201 hp, providing a range of 235 to 330 miles depending on the configuration. However, the GT version is likely to get a more powerful all-wheel-drive system with two motors and an 81.4 kWh battery.
Some experts suggest that the power of the EV4 GT could reach 480 hp, making it a serious player in the electric vehicle segment.
The model is expected to receive a sportier suspension setup, as well as the ability to simulate gear shifts using sound effects and changes in motor operation. The interior will likely be complemented by a sports steering wheel, special seats, and other details with the GT logo.
Despite the fact that the exact specifications have not yet been disclosed, the EV4 GT is already generating significant interest. Its appearance could significantly impact the compact electric vehicle market, especially in Europe, where demand for such models is constantly growing. The manufacturer seems to be betting on a combination of energy efficiency and dynamics, which could become a key advantage in the fight against competitors.
