Since April 1, the permitted speed has been increased on a number of streets in Kyiv. As the autumn-winter period has ended, the speed limit of 80 km/h now applies to 17 highways in the capital.
There are a total of 17 such sections in Kyiv:
- Victory Avenue (from Vozdukhoflotsky Bridge to Chernobylska Street);
- Big Ring Road (from Gorodska Street to the intersection with Gazoprovodnaya Street and from Gazoprovodnaya Street to Minsk Avenue);
- Gorodska Street (from Stetsenko Street to Gostomelske Highway);
- Ring Road (from Victory Avenue to Trublaine Street);
- R-69 Highway (from Ozerna Street to the Kyiv city boundary);
- Bandera Avenue (from Obolon Avenue to Northern Bridge);
- Vatutina Avenue (from Northern Bridge to Kerch Square);
- Naberezhno-Rybatska Street (from Havansky Bridge to Elektrikov Street);
- Naddniprianske Highway;
- Naberezhne Highway (from Poshtova Square to Naddniprianske Highway);
- Stolychne Highway (up to Akademika Zabolotnoho Street);
- Saperne-Slobodska Street (from Grinchenko Street to South Bridge);
- Bazhane Avenue (from South Bridge to Kharkiv Square);
- Brovary Avenue (from Liberators Avenue to Bratislavska Street and from Kyoto Street to the city exit);
- Pereva Boulevard (from Voskresenska Street to A. Navoi Street);
- Teliga Street (from Olzhycha Street to Kyrylivska Street);
- Sobornost Avenue.
Let’s recall that the 80 km/h limit will be in effect until November 1. Winter and summer speed limits in Kyiv have been in effect since 2018.
