Attacks on Tesla have become more frequent, and now the US government is actively intervening. As part of this measure, Attorney General Pamela Bondi announced charges against three individuals for the «violent destruction of Tesla property» using Molotov cocktails.
While the Department of Justice did not disclose many specifics, one of the accused was involved in an attack on a Tesla dealership in Salem, Oregon. According to the government, this person was armed with a suppressed AR-15 and was detained after throwing about eight Molotov cocktails.

The second accused was arrested in Loveland, Colorado for an attempt at another attack. The government also stated that «the accused was later found in possession of materials used to create additional incendiary devices».
Lastly, a person in Charleston, South Carolina, allegedly wrote «obscene messages against » near Tesla charging stations. They then ignited the charging units with Molotov cocktails.

Attorney General’s Statement
Attorney General Bondi was direct in her response to the situation, stating: «The era of impunity is over. Let this serve as a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars». Her office added that they are «called to end all acts of violence and arson directed at Tesla properties and others».
The news was announced two days after another statement by Bondi, stating that «the wave of violent attacks on properties is nothing but domestic terrorism. The Department of Justice has already charged several perpetrators with this in mind, including cases that involve charges with five-year minimum imprisonment terms».
Regarding the three accused in this latest round, they now face imprisonment from 5 to 20 years, depending on the specifics of their actions.
