Audi Introduces Hybrid Versions of the Q5 and Q5 Sportback
Audi updated the Q5 lineup last fall and has now added hybrid versions for the European market. The new model is available in two power variants and is offered for both the regular crossover and the coupe-like Sportback version.
Technical Features
The new battery has 45% more capacity than the previous one, allowing it to travel up to 100 km on electricity alone.
Battery charging time is significantly reduced – a full charge at an 11 kW station now takes about 2.5 hours. Standard equipment includes sport seats upholstered in black leather, an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, and a multimedia system with a 14.5-inch screen.
Production of the new hybrids is set up in Mexico, and sales in Europe will begin this month. The starting price in Germany is 63,400 euros for the base Q5 e-hybrid quattro, while the Sportback version will start from 65,900 euros.
The updated Audi hybrid models demonstrate significant progress compared to their predecessors, especially in the field of electromobility. The increased range and fast charging make them more practical for daily use while maintaining the brand’s sporting character. It will be interesting to see how the market reacts to the new models, especially given their price category.
