Toyota Hybrid Minivan to Become More Luxurious and Expensive in 2026

Updates and Price Changes

Toyota Sienna has always been an excellent minivan, and now it has become even better for 2026. Unfortunately, prices have increased somewhat, and the base model now costs $40,120 excluding the $1,495 delivery fee.

This is $635 more expensive than the previous version, but buyers will receive additional standard equipment, including a windshield heater, black roof rails, and power liftgate.

Interior Improvements

The interior has also received attention. The LE trim now includes rear window sunshades, a power-adjustable rearview mirror with HomeLink, and an eight-speaker audio system instead of the previous six-speaker one.

More Expensive Trims

In the more expensive trims, the Sienna XLE has become $525 more expensive and now starts at $44,820. It received minor exterior changes with new standard roof rails and mirrors with integrated turn signals. Customers will also find the premium JBL audio system as a new standalone option.

The Sienna XSE for $48,045 goes a step further, now featuring a standard 12-speaker JBL system. This is a nice update, but the price has increased by $1,105, so the changes will be appreciated only by true audiophiles.

Updated Color Palette

In addition to the extra equipment, the 2026 Sienna received an updated color palette that now includes Heavy Metal for most trims, except Woodland. Although this sturdy minivan did not get this shade, it is now offered in Ice Cap color and has a black emblem on the liftgate.

Technical Specifications and Efficiency

Deliveries of the Sienna to US dealerships will begin in January. All models are equipped with a hybrid powertrain with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces a total output of 245 hp. It is paired with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission that can be combined with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

With front-wheel drive, the minivan demonstrates an impressive 36 miles per gallon in combined cycle. The all-wheel-drive variant reduces the figures to 34 mpg in the city, 36 mpg on the highway, and 35 mpg combined.

The price increase for the new Sienna is accompanied by a significant expansion of standard equipment, making these changes justified for potential buyers. Particularly impressive is the retention of high fuel efficiency despite the additional equipment, demonstrating Toyota’s ability to combine comfort with environmental friendliness. The model’s appearance in January on the US market will occur in conditions of increased competition among family cars, where the Sienna traditionally holds strong positions due to its reliability and practicality.
