A 1990 Ferrari F40, which received a competition conversion from Hamann Motorsport and has confirmed participation in international races, has been listed for auction in Monaco. The car is valued at €2.25–2.75 million. This is reported by RM Sotheby’s.

The car was initially a road-going F40, delivered to its first owner in Germany. In 1994, the coupe was upgraded to race specification with the involvement of engineer Peter Sauber.

After the upgrade, the car received a twin-turbo V8 with two KKK turbochargers and reinforced internal components. The engine’s power was increased to a maximum of 720 hp thanks to a MoTeC control system with three modes.
The car was also equipped with:
- a modified front bumper in the style of the F40 LM
- a large rear wing
- upgraded suspension and brakes.
Ferrari F40 with Racing History: Participation in the BPR Series

The car competed in the 1996 season of the BPR Global GT series. Specifically, it participated in the 4 Hours of Spa and the 4 Hours of Nürburgring races.
After its racing career, the coupe changed several owners and was eventually placed in storage in the United Kingdom. In 2012, the car was found and sent for restoration.
The full restoration lasted three years and was completed in 2015. The work was carried out by Moto Technique Ltd from Surrey. The project was accompanied by detailed documentation, including over 100 pages of photographic materials.
