The 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Coupé DTM will be sold at RM Sotheby’s auction in Munich on November 20, 2026. The racing car with chassis V35-035 has been estimated at $449,200–673,800. This is reported by Classic Driver.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class DTM: three seasons in racing
The coupe was developed and built by HWA, Mercedes-AMG’s long-standing motorsport partner. The team used this example in the DTM championship from 2014 to 2016.
For the first two seasons, Paul di Resta drove it, returning to DTM after three years in Formula 1. In the opening round of 2015 at Hockenheim, he finished third and set the fastest lap of the race.
In 2016, the car received body panels in the style of the W205 generation and passed to Maximilian Götz. His best result in this chassis was fourth place in the first Moscow race.
Currently, the coupe again has the W204 exterior and the livery with number 3 that di Resta used in 2015. HWA sold the car to its current owner in June 2018.
Mercedes-Benz racing coupe: V8 and spare parts package
The basis of the design is a carbon-fiber monocoque. The 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine develops about 500 hp and works with a sequential gearbox with paddle shifters.
Along with the car, the buyer will receive:
- DMSB sports passport issued in April 2014;
- HWA engine operating instructions;
- spare rims, slicks with rims and rain tires;
- a set of keys and equipment for working with nitrogen.
Before returning to the track, certain safety components may need to be replaced. The auction house suggests checking the list of recommended work with its specialists.
