In Penza, there is a very unusual ZAZ-965. The hunchbacked Zaporozhets attracts attention every time someone gets into or out of the car. 
The thing is, the Zaporozhets received gull-wing doors. Moreover, they are equipped with an electric drive, like in the Tesla Model X, and lift and lower themselves in 15 seconds. 
However, the ZAZ tuning was not limited to just the doors.
The car received a body kit, and its wheel arches were widened. Cast wheels and chrome grilles at the front and rear also draw attention. 
The interior is upholstered in leather, the steering wheel is replaced, and the new front panel is made in retro style. Sports bucket seats are installed, and for ease of access, the driver’s seat rotates. 
The Zaporozhets is equipped with a VAZ-2108 engine with a radiator from a Niva.
This is enough for the light car. The rear suspension and steering came from the VAZ-2108 as well (although the power steering is from a Priora). The front suspension was assembled by themselves from parts of various VAZ models. 
By the way, not so long ago, an equally striking ZAZ-965 was created in Odessa.
