Gordon Murray introduced two exclusive supercars
During Monterey Car Week 2025, Gordon Murray, the renowned designer, presented two new models under the Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV) brand. These are the S1 LM and Le Mans GTR supercars, each with unique characteristics and design. The S1 LM is a modern tribute to the legendary McLaren F1, while the Le Mans GTR is focused on track performance.
The S1 LM is equipped with a 4.3-liter V12 engine producing over 700 horsepower and combines design elements from the McLaren F1, T50, and T50S. Production is limited to just five examples, which have already been reserved by a single client. In turn, the Le Mans GTR received a long body for improved aerodynamics and increased downforce. It will be produced in a quantity of 24 units.
“I love timeless design. I never want us to turn into a competition for the most extravagant appearance at the expense of balance, beauty, and proportions,” Murray noted.
Technical features and individual solutions
Both cars demonstrate Murray’s engineering approach to lightweight yet rigid structures. The S1 LM received an updated transmission and suspension, while the Le Mans GTR lost the T50’s fan in favor of aerodynamic solutions. Furthermore, GTR clients can order custom finishing for the three-seater cabin.
These models confirm that GMSV is ready to fulfill the boldest desires of buyers if they are willing to invest in unique cars. Demand for such projects remains high, especially among collectors who are seeking not just powerful, but also historically significant machines.
