Genesis GV60 Magma 2027: official prices and details
Genesis has announced that the price of the 2027 GV60 Magma starts at $69,950 excluding delivery of $1,545. Thus, the car is $10,050 more expensive than the 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, although the delivery cost is $55 less. The difference is significant, but Genesis is positioned as a luxury brand, so a significant premium is expected.
Technical specifications and performance
Despite its premium status, the GV60 Magma focuses on dynamics. It is equipped with an 84 kWh battery that powers a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing up to 641 hp (478 kW / 650 PS) and 583 lb-ft (790 Nm) of torque. This allows the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.4 seconds.

Availability and equipment
The “hot” GV60 will arrive at selected dealers in California, New York, and New Jersey in the coming weeks. The car features launch control, virtual gear shifts, and an electronic limited-slip differential. Additionally, the e-Active Sound Design Plus system is installed, which “simulates engine sounds through two external speakers.”
Genesis has told surprisingly little about the model, but noted that the hatchback has an aggressive front bumper, canards, and exclusive 21-inch forged wheels. These are complemented by a large rear spoiler and a color palette: Magma Orange, Uyuni White, Vik Black, and Makalu Gray Matte.
Interior and equipment
The interior is largely inherited from the regular version, but the Magma gets sport seats with heating and ventilation. They are upholstered in Obsidian Black suede with orange contrast stitching.
Drivers also get a sport steering wheel with separate Boost and Magma Mode buttons. These are complemented by aluminum pedals and unique displays for the 27-inch OLED screen. Genesis also reported that the car is equipped with a premium Bang & Olufsen audio system.
Thus, the GV60 Magma becomes the most powerful version of the Genesis electric crossover, but the limited sales geography of only three states and the high price may make it a rare sight on the roads. Amid growing competition from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and models from BMW and Mercedes-AMG, Genesis is betting on exclusivity and luxury, but whether this justifies the premium of over $10,000 remains to be seen. A special feature of the model is the combination of over 640 horsepower and a focus on enthusiasts with a virtual gear shift system reminiscent of Hyundai N’s approach.
