Eternal Classic in a New Execution
More than twenty-five years have passed since the Honda S2000 first appeared, but this car still remains the dream of many car enthusiasts. Only a few cars of that generation continue to inspire the creation of so many custom projects, among which the latest is the BP25 from Bulletproof Automotive.
This project combines stylistic, chassis, and powertrain modifications that transform the Japanese roadster into a significantly sharper and more powerful machine.
Honda wants to create a new S2000, but it’s not that simple
This project was conceived to unite the most authoritative Japanese tuning ateliers with the latest high-tech solutions. The finished car became the main exhibit at the SEMA Show, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Bulletproof Automotive.
Coupe with Incredible Character
The car’s exterior has undergone radical changes – the former roadster has been transformed into a coupe with a rigid hardtop installed from Spoon. Even more impressive is the Varis Dark Panther carbon fiber body kit, which includes redesigned bumpers, widened fenders, new ventilation holes, and a massive rear wing.

The coupe is painted in Lamborghini Balloon White with gold graphic elements and details with exposed carbon fiber and red accents. The race-style rearview mirrors are made of carbon and magnesium, and the rear lights have received their own LED elements.

One of the brightest features is the set of 19-inch forged BP-RW Evolution wheels, inspired by the traditional Japanese technique of metal hammering. They are shod in high-grip tires and hide forged Brembo Pista brakes.
The suspension has been completely redesigned using a coilover kit from Top Secret, supplemented with parts from J’s Racing, Roberuta, Spoon, EVS, and Hardrace.
Powertrain
Under the hood, a heavily modified 2.0-liter engine with custom parts is installed, working in tandem with a Vortech supercharger. The result is an impressive 580 horsepower at 9,300 rpm with a redline reaching an incredible 10,000 revolutions per minute.

Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an upgraded six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Completing the package are an Amuse vintage-style titanium manifold and a 70-millimeter titanium Euro Dual exhaust system.
Inside, the BP25 received a Mugen leather steering wheel and a roll bar, Recaro RS-G seats with racing harnesses, an ARC titanium gear shift knob, an NSX-R horn button, and Alcantara upholstery with red stitching.
Ben Schaffer, founder of Bulletproof Automotive, described the BP25 as a tribute to the spirit that once defined the S2000.
“We took that core analog purity of high revs and amplified it with 580 supercharged horsepower and the best modern technologies. This is its ultimate form, offering an ultimate, visceral package of high emotions that reminds everyone why they fell in love with driving, and concentrates the appeal of Japanese sports cars into one intense package.”

The BP25 project demonstrates how a classic car can be given new life thanks to modern technologies and a creative approach. This S2000 not only preserves the original spirit of the model but also significantly expands its capabilities, combining the best of the past and present of the automotive world. Such projects confirm that true automotive legends never grow old, but only acquire new forms in the hands of talented engineers and designers.
