Honda has announced the launch of a new service starting in spring 2026 in Japan — a turnkey restoration of classic NSX sports cars. As part of this project, the company will also restart production of scarce parts for the first-generation NSX.
According to Honda’s press service, scarce components for the legendary sports car will once again be manufactured using the latest technologies, including additive manufacturing (3D printing). For this purpose, the concern is already in talks with partners and third-party suppliers of auto components.
The first NSX is an icon of the Japanese auto industry, produced from 1990 to 2005. This mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car was equipped with 3.0–3.2 liter gasoline V6 engines producing from 252 to 290 horsepower, with the option of choosing between manual and automatic transmissions.
