Updated Honda ZR-V Crossover Receives New Trim and Stylish Body Kit
The Japanese market has welcomed the updated Honda ZR-V crossover for the 2027 model year. The update includes a new Cross Touring version, whose design resembles the American-spec HR-V. For those seeking a more unique look, Honda, through its official accessory catalog, offers a special styling kit.
The “Premium Style” accessory kit from Honda Access radically changes the front end of the car. Instead of the characteristic vertical grille slats, more austere horizontal elements are installed. The visual design combines a gray metal strip with a black background. This design is reminiscent of the grille style from the previous generation CR-V model.
The “Premium Style” kit from Honda Access abandons the ZR-V’s jagged vertical grilles in favor of a cleaner horizontal layout.
Styling Details and Wheels
The new grille is paired with a front spoiler, side skirts, and a rear diffuser, which have an aluminum look. Additionally, black inserts for the front bumper can be ordered, as well as matching decorative trim for the rear doors and a roof spoiler. The package is complemented by 19-inch black alloy wheels, which give the car a more planted and aggressive appearance.
For owners of the special Cross Touring version, robust door cladding is also available, which harmoniously combines with the unique side skirts that resemble running boards.
Wide Range of Exterior and Interior Accessories
The Honda Access accessory catalog offers a wide selection of options for exterior and interior customization. Exterior options include mirror caps, door handle protectors, window visors, roof rails, license plate frames, darkened emblems, as well as two-tone LED fog lights in white and yellow.
For the interior, available options include illuminated door sills, center console, footwells, illuminated cup holders and cargo area, including flashlights. Also offered are floor mats, cargo trays, waterproof seat covers, the Gathers Honda navigation system with an 11.4-inch screen, an eight-speaker audio system, and a range of accessories for transporting pets.
Accessory Prices and Total Update Cost
The price depends on the chosen options. The “Premium Style” kit costs 255,200 yen, the 19-inch wheels add another 233,200 yen. The two-tone fog lights are priced at 79,200 yen, and the black emblems at 17,600 yen. For those who value enhanced dynamics, a Yamaha Performance damper kit is available for 143,000 yen, which is the only update that affects the car’s behavior.
Door cladding for the Cross Touring version costs 38,500 yen, the Honda Connect navigation system is 333,850 yen. The interior lighting components total 149,600 yen, floor mats are 57,200 yen, wireless charging is 30,800 yen, and the audio system upgrade is 63,800 yen.
If you select all available options from the Honda Access catalog for the ZR-V, the total amount will exceed 1,377,750 yen, which is added to the model’s base price of 3,707,000 yen. Such a sum for accessories turns out to be very significant and approaches the cost of a full set of upgrades from the Mugen tuning atelier for the same car.
The Honda Access offering for the ZR-V demonstrates how deeply modern manufacturers are willing to go into the realm of personalization, turning a mass-produced crossover into a unique product. This approach also points to the growing competition between official accessories and products from independent tuning companies, where the customer gets a choice between the manufacturer’s warranty and bolder, yet riskier, solutions from third-party firms. The expansion of the catalog shows attention to detail, from external style elements to internal comfort and entertainment, which has become a standard for the premium segment even in compact classes.
