Modified Land Rover by ECD Automotive Design
The new Land Rover OCTA received a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which is a rather unusual solution for an SUV. However, even this model cannot compare with the special version from ECD Automotive Design, which is not only more powerful but also has a classic design that will remain relevant for many years.
This project, known as “Project Wilder,” became the most extreme development by ECD. Its main feature is a supercharged GM V8 engine that produces over 700 hp. Power is transmitted to the wheels through a T56 six-speed manual transmission, and the Borla Sport exhaust system provides an aggressive sound.
Technical and design features
During the creation of this car, ECD completely reworked the chassis, coating it with a special “Raptor Liner” protective coating. The SUV received an air suspension and powerful Brembo brakes necessary for such a large and powerful vehicle. The exterior was repainted in Eastnor Green with Nara Bronze bronze accents, and 20-inch wheels with BFGoodrich tires were installed.
The interior of Project Wilder is no less impressive than its technical characteristics. Buffalo Distressed Cuoio leather with honey stitching was used, along with Sapele walnut wood trim, Recaro sports seats, Alcantara headlining, and a new steering wheel with wooden inserts. Additionally, a Focal audio system, a panoramic roof, a multimedia system with Apple CarPlay, rearview cameras, a blind-spot monitoring system, and subwoofers were installed.
This approach to modifying a classic SUV demonstrates how modern technology can be combined with timeless design. ECD Automotive Design managed to create a car that not only possesses impressive power but also provides a high level of comfort and style.
