Someone Bought a Demon 170 for a Ridiculously Low Price

Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 Sold for Less Than the Recommended Price

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 has already gone down in history as one of the most powerful production muscle cars. Its engine produces up to 1025 horsepower and 945 pound-feet of torque, making it a true monster. Just 20 years ago, such a powerful production car with an official warranty would have seemed like fantasy.

However, one should not expect this model to hold its value as well as other legendary muscle cars. At auction, one specimen was sold for $128,000, which is thousands of dollars below its starting price of $134,600. At the same time, the car has only 132 miles on the odometer and a full package of additional equipment.

“Wow great deal for a premium spec demon”

The new owner received a car with a parachute system, Demonic Red Laguna leather interior, a powerful Harman Kardon audio system, carbon fiber wheels, and other exclusive options. The only “minus” could be considered the standard Granite gray color, although it looks quite stylish.

A recent auction sale of another Demon 170 with only 9 miles on the odometer for $130,000 confirms the trend of decreasing prices for this model. The question arises – will we soon see these cars with a mileage of several thousand miles priced below $100,000?

Interestingly, the demand for powerful muscle cars remains high, but the market is gradually adjusting their value. The Demon 170 remains a technological masterpiece, but its investment appeal may not be as high as the first owners expected.
