Audi RS6 Avant Performance lost value after minimal mileage
The 2025 Audi RS6 Avant Performance is one of the best station wagons in the world, combining speed and practicality. However, despite all its advantages, the previous owner of this particular model lost $25,000 after just 1,300 miles of driving. The main reason is the numerous expensive options that don’t always justify their cost.
The base price of the RS6 Avant Performance in the US starts at $126,600, but this specific car cost $167,140. The most expensive options were the $8,500 ceramic brakes and the $7,650 matte carbon package, which includes 22-inch wheels, black exterior elements, and mirrors. The list also includes a premium Bang & Olufsen audio system, interior packages, and driver assistance systems.
Bidding on the car at $142,069, so the new owner got a pretty good deal, at least compared to the seller.
However, not all options can be called pointless. For example, the $595 Ascari Blue metallic paint and Mercato Blue stitching in the interior add exclusivity to the car. Although the new owner got a favorable deal, the value of the RS6 Avant, like most new cars, will continue to decline. But if depreciation doesn’t scare you, why not drive such a car every day?
This case is a reminder of how quickly even premium cars can lose value, especially with a large number of additional options. At the same time, for enthusiasts looking for a powerful and stylish station wagon, such offers can be a real find.
