Someone Listed an Eight-Wheeled G63 Mobile Home for $285,000, and It Fooled AI Detectors

A strange listing for an incredible Mercedes-AMG G63 has appeared in Ukraine. At first glance, this eight-wheeled G-Class off-roader looks real. However, all that glitters is not gold, and this car might be a scam.

A Strange Find on the Internet

Brabus is known for creating extreme versions based on the Mercedes-AMG G63, but this eight-wheeled “house on wheels” raises entirely different questions. The listing for it recently appeared online, and the main question that arises is: is this car genuine, or is it just a skillfully created AI forgery?

The post comes from a popular Ukrainian Instagram account that sells used cars. Usually, it features ordinary offers, but sometimes real wonders appear, such as a BMW X5 with a convertible roof or this insane eight-wheeled G-Class converted into a mobile home. Its price is only $285,000.

This is an amount for which you could buy a regular G63, but not such a radically modified version. If this car were real, the cost of the conversion alone would exceed the stated price.

Forgery or Reality?

The exterior photos look quite convincing, and even some AI-generated image detectors recognized them as real. However, other tools unequivocally claim it’s the work of AI. Suspicion is heightened by the fact that this Instagram page also has dubious listings, for example, for the sale of a 2026 Volkswagen Passat R, which doesn’t even exist.

The presented Brabus G-Class retained the original front end, but behind the front doors, it was transformed into a motorhome with two additional axles, making it eight-wheeled. Mercedes once created a six-wheeled version of the G-Class, but never built an eight-wheeled one.

Luxury and Mistakes Inside

The car’s interior looks very spacious and luxurious, upholstered in black Alcantara and covered in carbon fiber. Carbon elements are present even on the bathroom door, drawers, kitchen countertop, and many other details.

Perhaps the most obvious evidence that this is an AI-generated image is the text on the large touchscreen control panel in the cabin. Although it looks plausible, the word “battery” is written with a strange symbol between the letters r and y, which is a characteristic sign of AI-generated images.

A Dream That Could Become Reality

Although this particular car is a forgery, it makes one wonder if a G-Class owner might be found who would want to create something similar. The concept looks truly impressive. We wouldn’t bet on it, but stranger things have happened in recent years, so never say never.

The Instagram post from the Ukrainian car sales account demonstrates how far image creation technologies have advanced, capable of fooling even specialized verification tools.

This story well illustrates the challenges of the modern digital era, where photo and video content can no longer be taken at face value. For buyers, especially in the secondary market for luxury or exclusive cars, this means the need for increased caution and cross-referencing information from multiple sources. The demand for unique and extreme cars has always been high, which creates fertile ground for such fantastic but untrue offers. On the other hand, the very idea of an eight-wheeled off-road house might inspire real tuners to create something similar in the future, as the boundaries of automotive design are constantly expanding.
