While major Chinese automakers are developing electric vehicles with advanced technologies, smaller companies continue to copy premium brands. Among the numerous imitations of Bugatti, Porsche, Aston Martin, and Maserati, this miniature version of a Bentley stands out, hiding an unexpected technology – a hybrid powertrain.
From the front, the car attempts to mimic the design of the Bentley Bentayga with a large radiator grille and round LED headlights. However, the resemblance is less obvious from the sides and rear – the body shape is more reminiscent of a Smart. The tiny wheels and unusual proportions prevent it from being confused with the original, but it looks interesting.
The feature of this car is a small internal combustion engine, similar to those used in garden equipment. In an Instagram video, it can be seen starting noisily, producing more sound than expected from such a compact car. However, this engine does not transmit power to the wheels but only charges the battery.
This design means the primary source of energy remains the electric motor – quieter and more efficient compared to a gasoline counterpart. The hybrid system is practical for regions with weak charging station infrastructure. It’s no coincidence the video was filmed in Uzbekistan, where access to charging may be limited.
Mini-Bentley at a Micro-Price
According to the Instagram post, the cost of the car was about $3100, and it is already sold, although some commenters suggest the real price might have been lower. The manufacturer is the Chinese company Weihai Yilin New Energy Technology from Shandong province. Online, offers can be found from $2500 to $3100.
With a length of 3850 mm (151.6 inches), this Bentley replica is formally designed for five passengers, but fitting that many adults will be difficult. Equipment includes a digital instrument panel, LED lighting, a roof fan, heating, power accessories, alloy wheels, and disc brakes on all wheels. There is also a version with a modified front end resembling a Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
The electric motor’s power is 5 hp (3.5 kW), with a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph). This corresponds to the class of heavy quadricycles like the Citroën Ami. Data on battery capacity, range, or ICE parameters are not specified, but a full charge takes 8-10 hours.
Would You Buy It?
Of course, this is not a real Bentley – neither in dynamics, comfort, nor status. But for a few thousand dollars, it’s a strange and funny way to get around the city. The question is whether you would choose it over a moped. If so, then perhaps this tiny Bentley replica still has its advantages.
