HWA 190 Evo was just the beginning, and now the company is ready to create a hypercar with an internal combustion engine

HWA is preparing a new hypercar

The German company HWA, known for its work with Mercedes-AMG, is preparing its own hypercar, which will become a competitor to the Aston Martin Valkyrie. The car will receive an internal combustion engine and an original design from HWA. However, the first novelty will be another project based on Mercedes, equipped with a V8.

HWA has extensive experience in creating racing cars and special projects, but now the company wants to become an independent manufacturer. The first step in this direction was the EVO model — a modern interpretation of the Mercedes 190 Evolution II, which costs over 700,000 euros. Production has already begun, and all 100 planned units will be ready by 2027.

Next projects and plans

The next HWA models will also be inspired by legendary Mercedes from the 1990s, but will receive more powerful engines. The company’s technical director, Gordian von Schöning, confirmed that the next car will have a V8, but without hybrid technologies. He noted:

If you want to create an emotional car at a high price, an electric powertrain is not the best choice.

By the end of the decade, HWA plans to introduce its own hypercar, which will be a completely original development. The company has already applied for manufacturer status in Germany. Although details remain secret, the model is expected to receive a powerful engine, possibly a V12.

However, the main challenge for HWA will be certification, since the new car will not be able to use existing documentation, as was the case with the EVO. Despite the high costs, the company is confident that its hypercar will be able to compete with models such as Pagani or Koenigsegg.

HWA has long remained a “shadow player,” working for other brands, but is now ready to enter the market independently. Its plans include not only exclusive cars, but also continued collaboration with other manufacturers, including Mercedes-AMG.
