Hyundai Ioniq 9 Debuts with a Starting Price of $58,955 and a 110.3 kWh Battery

Hyundai has announced prices for its first fully electric three-row crossover, the Ioniq 9, starting at $58,955 in the US, with a maximum price of $76,490. Although the vehicle is slightly more expensive than its platform sibling, the Kia EV9, it is equipped with a more powerful battery and offers a greater range.

All Ioniq 9 modifications have received a 110.3 kWh NMC lithium-ion battery. The most affordable version, the RWD S with rear-wheel drive and a 215-horsepower motor, demonstrates a record range for the model – 540 km.

Despite the starting price of $58,955 (excluding the $1,600 delivery fee) being higher than the $54,900 of the base Kia EV9, it is worth considering that the Korean competitor has only a 76.1 kWh battery with a maximum range of 370 km. Even the top versions of the EV9 received a 99.8 kWh battery with a range of up to 489 km.

Five all-wheel-drive modifications are also available on the American market. The Ioniq 9 AWD SE for $62,765 offers 303 hp and a 515 km range. The more equipped AWD SEL version starts at $66,320 with similar technical characteristics.

The line of powerful Performance versions includes three trims: Limited for $71,250 (422 hp, 500 km), Calligraphy from $74,990, and the flagship Calligraphy Design for $76,490.

Ioniq 9 buyers get to choose between a free ChargePoint Home Flex home charging station or a $400 charging credit. All models qualify for the full $7,500 federal tax incentive, which lowers the effective starting price to $53,055 including delivery.
