Hyundai Opens Doors to Cool Guys, and Some N Model Owners Can’t Handle It

Invitation for All Car Enthusiasts

Hyundai Australia has announced that cars from other brands can also participate in the N Festival. For this, they need to be invited by a Hyundai N owner, and the car must be a suitable sports model. A total of 60 non-Hyundai N owners will be able to attend the event in Victoria.

Community Expansion

Hyundai, despite being a relatively new player in the world of sports cars, has already managed to create an active community thanks to its N division. In Australia, Hyundai N owner meetings often take the form of track days and special festivals, giving fans a chance to celebrate their cars together.

The revival of the Veloster could happen in the form of the hot hatch Ioniq 3 N

This year, the celebration goes beyond Hyundai owners, opening the door for drivers of competing sports models, but only under certain conditions.

New Initiative

The new initiative, called “Nvy Track Sessions,” is aimed at friends or relatives of Hyundai owners who have long wanted to join. To participate, one must arrive in a registered sports car that meets the requirements. In other words, if you’ve been watching the N Festival from the sidelines with envy, this might be your chance to get inside.

Inviting Competitors

The announcement was published on the official Hyundai N Australia Facebook page, which showed a photo of a Honda Civic Type R. This is one of the competitors of the i30 N, alongside the VW Golf GTI/R and Toyota GR Corolla. Of course, participation is not limited to just hot hatches, so one can bring a Mitsubishi Evo, Subaru WRX, Ford Mustang, Nissan Z, or Toyota GR Supra.

The only requirement is to receive a personal invitation from a current Hyundai N owner who will be present at the brand’s main event. This year, the N Festival will take place at the Winton Motor Raceway in Victoria from November 21 to 23.

Participation Conditions

The company will allow 60 non-Hyundai owners to participate. They will be divided into three groups of 20 people, who will take to the track on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively. Like their Hyundai N friends, they will have access to individual sessions with instructors and other interesting activities.

How to Apply

Interested individuals should send a message to the Hyundai N Australia Facebook page. The application must include a photo of the Hyundai N and the “envious friend’s” car, along with the make, model, and year of manufacture.

Mixed Opinions

The announcement has sparked mixed reactions among internet users. Some question why competing brands should participate in a Hyundai-specific event, while others welcome the opportunity to bring friends. It seems like a smart way to attract potential customers by introducing them to the culture and friendly atmosphere of Hyundai N.

Previous Events

Below, you can see photos from previous Hyundai N Festivals and owner meetings in Australia. Most attendees drive i30 N in hatchback, fastback, or sedan (Elantra) bodies, but there are also a few examples of the discontinued Kona N and the fully electric Ioniq 5 N. It will be interesting to see which non-Hyundai models participate in this year’s event.

This move by Hyundai could be important for the further expansion of car club culture in Australia, showing that true love for cars knows no borders between brands. Openness to other marques may not only strengthen Hyundai’s image but also create new opportunities for experience exchange among enthusiasts.
