Hyundai reduced the price of its 641-horsepower electric car

Updates for 2026: Price and Charging

Hyundai has finally unveiled the 2026 Ioniq 5 N model. While many automakers are already announcing 2027 models, the Korean brand is only now updating its powerful electric vehicle. The company claims the new model will be “more accessible than ever.”

Last year’s version started at $66,200, while the price for the 2026 Ioniq 5 N has been reduced to $59,900. That is a saving of $6,300. It is worth noting that the delivery fee remains unchanged at $1,600, so there are no hidden tricks.

Technical Specifications and Performance

Hyundai explains this decision as part of its strategy to “make track performance and technology accessible to more enthusiasts.” While $61,500 is far from a budget price, it is worth remembering that we are talking about a high-performance electric vehicle with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. It develops 641 hp (478 kW / 650 hp) and 568 lb-ft (769 Nm) of torque. Thanks to this, the model accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.25 seconds, with a top speed of 162 mph (261 km/h).

New Features and Design

Key changes include the introduction of a new charging port with the NACS (North American Charging Standard), simplifying access to the Tesla Supercharger network. Buyers will also receive CCS-to-NACS adapters and a new standard combined Level 1 and Level 2 charger.

Other updates are less noticeable but worth noting. A new body color has appeared — Performance Blue Pearl. The interior has undergone minor changes: the rear windows now feature automatic up/down functionality. Additionally, a Forward Attention Warning system with an interior camera has been installed, along with an updated N Drift Optimizer that now offers ten settings instead of one.

These changes make the 2026 Ioniq 5 N not only more powerful in terms of charging but also better adapted to the needs of drivers who value both track dynamics and everyday comfort. The price reduction while maintaining high performance reflects Hyundai’s desire to expand the audience for its sporty electric vehicles, making them more competitive in a market where affordability is often a decisive factor.
