We’ve written a lot about 6-wheeled cars like the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6. However, we haven’t paid enough attention to 8-wheeled cars yet… And they do exist, yes! So we dug around and decided to introduce you to these monsters. We gathered the 9 most astonishing among them.

Eliica (2004)

The concept Electric Lithium-Ion Car, which accelerates to 100 km/h in 4 seconds with a top speed of 370 km/h. The goal of its creators was to build an electric car capable of reaching 400 km/h. This number of wheels was attached for better handling and stability.

Reeves Octoauto (1911)

It was initially a 6-wheeled vehicle, with an additional axle provided for a smoother ride. In all other aspects, including mass, it turned out to be a very unsuccessful car.

ShamRockAway (1970s)

Its creator simply adored strange motorhomes. Assembled from a bunch of cars and vans

Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz 8 (1977)

It was custom-made for an Australian eccentric. An ordinary Cadillac, but with additional axles from a Holden pickup.

ZIS E134 (1955)

A mighty ZIL based on the ZIS-151. It was created as an alternative to tracked transport for the military.

The Soviet Army appreciated the idea but, unfortunately, didn’t see practicality in this monster.

A small car with a top speed of 100 km/h, created by an enthusiast for movement during hunting.

Pontiac Eight-Wheeler (1935)

Created at the personal request of Pontiac boss Harry Klingler. The essence? To create the safest possible conditions for the driver or passengers.

A sort of road tank. However, in the end, the car remained on the pages of history.

Fageol Eight Wheel Motor Vehicle (1930)

A bus with increased load capacity. But while such a wheel scheme was the norm for trucks, for buses it was a nonsense.

Hummer H2 8-wheeler limo (2009)

A limousine simply aimed for playing to the crowd.
