Those who, for one reason or another, found themselves or stayed outside of Ukraine have organized the purchase of cars with domestic plates. On one hand, this may seem strange, but no – it’s a logical and actually interesting idea.
Since many Ukrainian citizens, mostly women, left for abroad in their own cars after the full-scale invasion of Russia. And here arises the question – what to do with a car registered in Ukraine if: either there isn’t enough money to live abroad, or the car owner doesn’t intend to return to the Motherland, at least not in the near future. And let’s not forget about those who simply lost their homes in Ukraine.
We all know that in Europe and even more so in the United States, used cars usually cost significantly less than in our country. So holding onto a car with Ukrainian plates might be simply unprofitable. And here our people, as always, have found a way to both earn money and help those who want for various reasons to get rid of a car registered in Ukraine.
As TopGir writes, there is a solution – Ukrainians are buying cars with Ukrainian plates from other Ukrainians abroad and re-exporting them “home”… this is the cycle of “Ukrainian” cars in nature during martial law.
