Infiniti has decided that even an off-roader can become a rocket. At the SEMA tuning show in Las Vegas, Nissan’s premium division presented a charged version of the Infiniti QX80 R-Spec, which received 1000 horsepower.
Yes, exactly as much as the legendary Bugatti Veyron once had.

The QX80 R-Spec was equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo from the Nissan GT-R Nismo, but with new turbos, a fuel system, and exhaust. The result is one thousand “horses” and the status of one of the most powerful SUVs in the world. For comparison: the Mercedes-AMG G63 has only 585 hp.
Along with the engine, the off-roader received 390 mm diameter carbon-ceramic brakes, an Eibach sport suspension, an electronic rear differential, and a reconfigured steering system.
The R-Spec is easily recognizable externally by its carbon fiber body kit, massive spoiler, updated fog lights, and four exhaust pipes. Add to that 24-inch wheels with Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires, widened wheel arches, and an impressive lowering — and you get a true “G-Class killer”.
A special purple color only emphasizes the character of this car. It looks as if even at idle it could move an entire city block.
The Infiniti QX80 R-Spec is proof that sometimes even a luxurious family SUV can have the heart of a supercar.
