Infiniti will unveil the 2027 QX65 later this month. It’s a two-row, crossover coupe version of the QX60. Four-cylinder comes at launch, but a V6 could follow.
New Automotive Debut in New York
This year’s auto show season has been a series of disappointments, but that is set to change with the return of the New York Auto Show in April. Among the main premieres will be a new crossover from Infiniti. The company announced it will present the 2027 QX65 model in New York, with its debut scheduled for March 26.
Successor to the FX Spirit
The new crossover coupe is meant to evoke associations with the legendary FX model, a concept car of which was shown back in 2025. Although the first teaser image is intentionally darkened, it is visible that the car’s front end resembles the QX60, but with important differences.
The QX65 features separate headlight units, a unique front bumper, a redesigned lower air intake, and a more expressive radiator grille. The most significant changes begin behind the A-pillar: the model has a sleek roofline, a compact glass surface, an angled rear window, and likely distinctive rear lights.
Interior and Technical Equipment
Since the model is essentially a two-row variant of the QX60, a familiar cabin can be expected with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the same multimedia system with integrated Google. Higher trim levels will likely feature bolstered seats, black ash wood trim, and a premium Klipsch audio system.

Engines and Transmission
At the start of sales, the model will be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 268 horsepower and 387 Nm of torque. The unit will be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and an optional all-wheel-drive system.
However, according to recent reports, the model may soon receive a 3.5-liter V6 with approximately 300 horsepower. There are also rumors about the possible appearance of a high-performance Red Sport version in the future.
Expectations and Plans
Details will become known later this month, but Infiniti has already confirmed that the crossover coupe will arrive at dealers in early summer. This premiere is an important step for the brand, which is trying to regain attention in the competitive premium crossover market by offering a model with a striking exterior and sporty character, distinguishing it from the more conventional and family-oriented variants in the lineup.
