Infiniti QX65 2026: What We Know About the Coupe-Crossover

The new Infiniti QX65 crossover will appear as a sporty, two-row alternative to the QX60 crossover. It is expected to have a stylish design with split headlights and a black radiator grille. It will likely offer a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine producing 268 hp and 286 lb-ft of torque. Infiniti QX50 and its coupe-crossover counterpart will be discontinued this year. Although it doesn’t seem like the QX50 will be directly replaced, Infiniti is already preparing to introduce a new model to replace the QX55, which will be named QX65.

This upcoming crossover will have a coupe-style roof, and after we spotted it during the final stage of testing (of course, in camouflage), renderings have now appeared so we can peek at what it might look like. Infiniti QX65 is expected to debut at the end of 2025 or early 2026 as a 2026 model for the North American market. It will be a sportier, two-row alternative to the QX60, which is also due for an update. The QX65 will likely share the same foundation as the QX60 since both will be manufactured at Nissan’s plant in Smyrna, Tennessee. This is significant since the outgoing QX50 and QX55 are assembled in Mexico, making them potential targets for tariffs if proposed Trump administration policies take effect.

Renderings by artist Nikita Chuiko are based on the latest information from a few weeks ago. They depict the QX65 with split headlights, almost identical to those on the larger QX80. They consist of narrow LED daytime running lights at the base of the hood, while the main headlights are positioned vertically, somewhat lower on the fascia. These renderings also feature a large but stylish black radiator grille that adds to the premium look of the new coupe crossover. The design will be dominated by smooth curves and folds, complemented by very appealing triangular rear side windows.

We really like the rear liftgate depicted in these images, featuring a spoiler extending from the roof, sleek rear LED taillights, and a light strip. Overall, it looks great, and we are hopeful that the production model will look just as good. As for the interior space of the QX65 prototypes, we have not seen it, but we did see one of the facelift QX60 testers driving alongside. Given the similarities between these models, it is very likely that the QX65 will have a similar (though slightly updated) interior space. This will likely include dual 12.3-inch displays: one for the digital instrument cluster and another for the infotainment system, updated to the latest version.

What else can we expect from the QX65? Well, similar to the updated 2026, it will likely be offered exclusively with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 268 hp and 286 lb-ft of torque, as finalized last year. The engine will be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that will drive either the front wheels or, as an option, all four wheels. Nissan’s luxury division — Infiniti — is experiencing some difficulties at the moment. Last year, only 58,070 vehicles were sold in America, down 10.2% from the 64,699 sold in 2023.

The QX55, in particular, did not contribute to the brand’s performance, with sales plummeting 31.3% to just 3,721 units. While these numbers aren’t impressive, Infiniti still knows how to design attractive vehicles. If the QX65 can live up to expectations, it could help elevate the brand and get a few cars in the driveway.
