Iranians to Resume Production of the Famous Lamborghini Supercar

In Iran, the first local supercar, which is planned to be produced in quantities of 50-100 units per year, was showcased. The car turned out to be an exact copy of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce coupe.

The Lamborghini supercar was discontinued in 2010, but in Iran, it was decided to resurrect it. Local engineers cloned a Lamborghini Murcielago, imported by a local millionaire.

All the work took four years and original Lamborghini blueprints were used. So the car almost completely matches the original, with even carbon fiber used in the construction.

The only significant difference is the coupe’s engine. Iranian industry is incapable of producing the 6.5-liter 670 horsepower V12, so the Lamborghini copy is equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 Hyundai Lambda.

Nevertheless, developers claim that the car can reach 280 km/h. They promise versions with V8 and V10 engines later.
