by In the first half of 2020, 193.5 thousand passenger cars were imported to Ukraine. This is 36% less than the previous year – the quarantine made its impact. 
According to the Ukravtoprom association, the overwhelming majority of cars (155.9 thousand) are second-hand. Only 37.6 thousand new cars were imported. However, the decline in the new segment was only 1.4%, while in the used segment it was as much as 41%.
Also, the average cost of a new car increased from 18.9 to 19.3 thousand dollars over the year, and for used cars – from $1.1 to $4.7 thousand. Most new cars were imported to Ukraine from Japan (8,745 units), China (5,736), and Romania (5,351). Used cars are brought from Germany (38,991 units), the USA (32,076), and France (14,218).
