Changes to Ukraine’s Traffic Laws Introduced Not Only for Drivers

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted changes in Ukraine’s traffic laws. They span 15 pages (those interested can find the complete list at the end of the post), while we will focus on the key and main innovations. We should mention right away that drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and cyclists will all have to get used to them.

As is known, an experiment was already conducted in Kyiv – cyclists were allowed to ride on a dedicated lane designed for public transport, taxis, and shuttles on certain road sections.

We don’t know how successful it was and how many cyclists (did not) suffer, but it seems the government found it successful.

One thing that definitely cannot fail to please is the innovation for pedestrians, although there is suspicion that few will comply with the changes in traffic laws, especially in villages and provinces. Well, never mind – here are the main innovations.
