In Canada, a unique 1976 Porsche 911 Turbo drives around. Its odometer boasts a mileage of 779 thousand miles, which is 1.25 million kilometers.
All this time, the car has had one owner – businessman Bill MacEachern. He fell in love with the Porsche 911 when he was young and initially bought a standard coupe, then the Turbo. He chose a car with a three-liter 260-horsepower turbo-six, sports seats, and a limited-slip differential.
Bill MacEachern uses the Porsche sports car for daily driving – hence the huge mileage. Over 44 years, there have been almost no malfunctions – just that the fan pulley fell apart.
But once, the Porsche 911 Turbo got into an accident, and it was necessary to replace the half shaft and the suspension arm.
Perhaps, this is a record mileage for a Porsche 911, yet the car continues to run. Although among sports coupes, this is far from the best result – the lead belongs to Volvo.
