The Porsche Taycan Electric Car distinguished itself with a very unconventional record. The sports car demonstrated the longest drift in the world.
To be more precise, the Porsche electric car drifted continuously for as long as 55 minutes and covered 42 km 171 m during this time. The achievement was recorded by representatives of the Guinness World Records.
Of course, the new Porsche Taycan did not cover all these 42 km on a track. It drove in a circle – on a special drift track at the Porsche Experience center.
For the record, a rear-wheel-drive Porsche electric car with a 408-horsepower engine was chosen, and the track was watered for better sliding. The average speed of the run was 46 km/h.
