We have written to you more than once about the masterpiece Porsche 911 from Singer Design atelier. Old Porsche sports cars are transformed into real works of art. However, now the Americans have surpassed themselves.
A new Singer DLS based on the 1990 Porsche 911 coupe was shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. F1 Williams team specialists helped to create it.
In particular, Williams engineers have refined the engine. The displacement of the naturally aspirated flat-six increased to 4.0 liters, and the power jumped to 500 hp at 9000 rpm. Also installed is a 6-speed manual transmission with magnesium parts.
Of course, the brakes and suspension of the Porsche 911 have been refined. The car received new ABS, ESP, and Traction Control from Bosch.
Moreover, Williams worked on aerodynamics in the wind tunnel – a new body kit and a sharper rear spoiler are installed. The Porsche 911 tuning also includes widened wheel arches and 18-inch BBS wheels. By the way, all the body panels are now carbon, and the optics are LED.
High-quality leather is used in the interior trim. The Singer Porsche 911 received a safety cage, Recaro sport seats, and a retro-style steering wheel. Also noteworthy is the open gear lever.
A total of 75 Singer DLS are planned to be produced. The price of the Porsche 911 has not been announced, but it will be no less than $300,000.
