The winners of the ‘Women’s World Car of the Year 2021’ contest have been announced. Interestingly, the best of the best (according to the fairer gender) were chosen by 48 female journalists from 38 countries around the world.
The list of participants included cars that debuted from January to December 2020. In fact, this means 2021 model year cars. In each of the nine categories of the contest, 3 finalists were selected, one of which was subsequently announced as the winner.
The absolute winner, surprisingly (according to many men), was the new Land Rover Defender. It also won in the ‘Best Medium SUV’ category.

In the ‘Best Family Car’ category, the first place was taken by the new generation Skoda Octavia.

According to the female experts, the best urban car was the Peugeot 208, while its platform-sharing crossover 2008 became the best urban SUV.

In the ‘Best Luxury Car’ category, the Lexus LC500 convertible received the highest rating, the Kia Sorento won ‘gold’ in the ‘Best Large SUV’ category, and the Ford F-150 became the best women’s 4×4 & pick-up. Finally, the best performance car of the year, according to women, is the Ferrari F8 Spider, while the Honda e was the winner in the ‘Best EV’ category.
