The American site iSeeCars conducted an interesting study. Journalists identified which cars stay in the same hands the longest and are not resold.
750 thousand cars released between 1981 and 2003 were analyzed. The study determined the percentage of cars that remain with one owner for 15 years or more. There are plenty of such cars, although we think that in the West, everyone changes their cars every 3-5 years en masse.
The leaders turned out to be Japanese brands. In the TOP-15, there are 10 Toyota models, and the absolute leader is the Toyota Highlander crossover. As much as 18.5% of owners drove it for 15 years or more. The rating is as follows:
1 Toyota Highlander 18.5%
2 Toyota Prius 16.2%
