by The Swedish Corrosion Institute conducted a study of car bodies. Experts identified which cars rust the least and the most. 
In particular, old models from 2002-2005 were studied – precisely those that are popular here with Euro plates. Interestingly, the durability of the body, it turns out, also depends on the year of manufacture. The same model from different years can have different corrosion protection.
So, if we take cars from 2002-2003, the best are Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class, Nissan Micra, Opel Astra, Renault Megane, Saab 9-5, Skoda Octavia, VW Golf, and Volvo S70/V70. However, for Ford Focus and Mondeo, Mazda 6, Mercedes E-Class, the level of corrosion protection is unsatisfactory. 
Among the models from 2004-2005, Citroen C5, Ford Mondeo, Nissan Micra, Opel Astra, Renault Megane, Volvo S40/V40 were noted. However, Ford Focus, Kia Picanto, Mercedes A-Class, Toyota Corolla, and Volkswagen Passat are less resistant to corrosion.
