Although there was an opinion that they wouldn’t be able to read personalized license plates, it turned out that there is no issue with them, but there are problems with some other types.
“Lettering numbers like names SASHA, MASHA are perfectly detected and fined. The issue with diplomatic cars, military vehicle numbers, and a number of other special vehicles has not been resolved yet,” stated the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko.
Also, according to Gerashchenko, the biggest problem is duplicate cars and cars registered before 2011. “There are inaccuracies in the registration data. But we are working in this direction,” emphasized Gerashchenko.
Currently, for the purpose of covert monitoring of traffic rules compliance, the police use the Skoda Kodiaq car. The numbers of some phantom cars are already known (some, so you can add in the comments):

In the future, the makes and models of cars will not be openly named, as this contradicts the concept of using such complexes. It should also be noted that as of January 29, 4212 penalties have been issued for speeding violations on roads, recorded by phantom cars.
